Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking compassionate Waken Nights Support Practitioners in Glenrothes to join our expanding team. This full-time post (39 hours per week) involves providing in-home support, personal care, breakfast preparation and nightly checks for service users who may have disabilities or mental health needs.

Due to continued expansion, our fantasticteam are on the lookout for a compassionate and creative individualwith a positive attitude to join usas Waken Nights Support Practitioner on a full-time basis (39hours per week), based in Glenrothes.

A driving licence is preferred for this role but not essential.

About Us:

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland provides personalised and outcome-focused support to over 2800 individuals in their own homes across Scotland, making us the country's largest provider of social care. We support individuals with a variety of different needs such as physical and/or learning disabilities, ongoing mental health issues, alcohol or substance abuse and autism. Some of the people we support can present challenging behavior or require a high level of personal care.

The Role:

As a Support Practitioner, you will supportservice usersin their own homes. Their support needs include personal care, preparing breakfast, completing household tasks and checks throughout the night.
To be part of our team, we’ll need you to:

  • Have an empathetic and caring nature
  • Good organisationand observation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence in using computers
  • Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own
  • A good level of physical fitness in order to complete CALMS training
  • Experience in care is highly desirable
Requirements:

The shift times are 8pm-7am, working three shifts one week and four shifts the week after. There will be an expectation to work day shifts upon starting in the roleto undertake training.
