You will be the essential link in providing immediate support in urgent situations, ensuring the well-being and safety of people in our community.
Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Responder service in Dunoon & Cowal is all about being there when it matters most. We respond to Telecare Alarms in cases such as a fall, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time.
But our commitment doesn’t end there. We go the extra mile by checking in on people later in the day or at night. This person-centred approach ensures that people not only receive immediate assistance but also have peace of mind and comfort in their own homes.
As a Support Practitioner Dunoon & Cowal (Responder), your role will involve conducting personal care, practical support, dynamic risk assessments, screening needs through effective communication, and working proactively to prevent hospital admissions. While you may be working independently, you won’t be alone; our close-knit team offers support and ensures continuity of care for the people we support. In addition, you will liaise with partner organisations contributing to the holistic care and wellbeing of the people we support.

You do not need professional experience to join us. We provide comprehensive induction training, including the use of ELK Lifting Cushion to all new team members. A full driving license is essential for this role.
