Make a positive difference in someone's life by becoming a Support Practitioner with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in our Liberton service and helping support the people who need it most in our communities!

We are currently able to offer 2 x Full Time contracts within the Liberton Team.

Due to the nature of this service, you must be a driver, with a valid full UK driving licence.

This service provides support to a young man who is looking to get out in his community more. We need proactive and and talkative people to support this person to attend his hobbies like the gym, football and going to the pub.

Requirements

As a Support Practitioner you could be expected to work weekends, shift patterns and sleepovers if required. This will include, Full Time, Part time and Bank shifts.

About The Role

Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include:

• Social Support - Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
• Medical Support - Administering and monitoring medication.
• Personal Care - Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
• Practical Support - Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
