Job description

Support Practitioner Male Only - Driving Licence Required

Our fabulous Cumnock team are on the lookout for compassionate and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join them as Support Practitioners. This is a full-time post consisting of 39 hours per week, working 5 days over 7. You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner, including a fully funded SVQ.

However, due to the requirements of the service, we are only able to consider male applicants who have a valid driving licence and access to their own cars.

The Role

As a Support Practitioner, you will assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of their daily lives, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking, and personal care. The people we support have a variety of hobbies, and we look to you to take an active interest in them, from dining out or catching a movie to gym sessions or group activities.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provides 24/7 support tailored to each individual's needs. Shifts include early, late, and sleepover shifts, starting at 9am until 9am the following day, with sleep periods between 11pm and 7am, including weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis. Flexibility to start early or stay later may be required depending on activities.
