Make a Positive Difference - Join The Richmond Fellowship Scotland!

We are looking for a Full-Time Male Support Practitioner to join our Dundee services and help support those who need it most in our communities.

No Experience? No Problem!

No prior experience in care is required! Our award-winning Learning & Development team will provide you with full training before you start. Training includes classroom-based sessions, e-learning, and the opportunity to shadow experienced Support Practitioners while meeting the people you will be supporting.

We also fully fund and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification in-house!

About the Role

As a Support Practitioner, your responsibilities may include:

  • Social Support - Helping individuals engage with their communities through activities such as day centres, cinema trips, swimming, and other leisure outings.
  • Medical Support - Administering and monitoring medication.
  • Personal Care - Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, arranging medical visits, and incontinence care.
  • Practical Support - Encouraging daily household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, and shopping.
  • Supporting Individuals with Challenging Behaviour - Providing compassionate and patient assistance when needed.
Shift Flexibility

You must be flexible, as shifts will vary and may include early, back, late, and sleepover shifts.

What You Need to Know
  • All successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks. Having a conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from working in this sector.
  • New staff members must register with the SSSC within three months of their start date.
  • This post is covered under Schedule 9, Part 1 (1)(1)(a) of the Equality Act 2010.
