Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to join our Blantyre team. You’ll support individuals in their own homes, helping with daily tasks and personal care, with full training provided including a funded SVQ.

No prior care experience is required; we hire on values and transferable skills and will train you to become a confident, capable member of our social care team. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Confidence in using computers.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in daily life, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
  • Provide moving and handling support where necessary, with training provided.
  • Engage with the people we support through activities aligned to their interests, such as going out for meals, watching films, going to the gym, or participation in group activities.

You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Support Practitioner, including a fully funded SVQ.

Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of their daily lives, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
