Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) is seeking a part-time Support Practitioner (Driver only) in Wishaw. The role covers supporting people with disabilities across Motherwell and Wishaw, with a 16-hour-per-week contract.

You will accompany them on activities, assist with daily tasks, and ensure safe transport using a full UK manual driving licence. The role requires PVG scheme membership and progression toward a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare for SSSC registration, with mandatory registration within 3

• PVG scheme eligibility and SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare anticipated for SSSC registration.

Responsibilities

• Support people to get out, have fun and live life to the fullest across Motherwell and Wishaw (gym, college, meals, social activities).
• Assist with everyday tasks: shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks and personal care.
• Provide safe and reliable support, using a UK driving licence for travel as needed. Confidence around water is a bonus but not essential.

You’ll also provide support with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks and personal care.

Due to the needs of the service, we will also need you to have full UK manual drivers licence. Ideally, you’ll be confident in and around water, as swimming is a regular activity for one of the people we support but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
