Job summary

Cornerstone seeks caring Support Practitioners in Maud to provide personalised support to six residents in a housing support service. Roles include permanent part-time (16 or 20 hours) and relief shifts, with full training and a funded SVQ pathway.

Qualifications

We have opportunities available on a permanent part-time basis (16 or 20 hours per week), as well as relief positions if you're looking for something a bit more flexible.

You’ll become part of a fun, friendly and supportive team providing personalised support to six individuals living within our housing support service. Each person has their own unique needs, interests and goals, making every day different and rewarding.

Role

Every person is different, with their own interests, routines and ambitions. Your role will be to provide personalised support that helps people to:

• Manage their own homes and develop their independence
• Access personal care and support their health and wellbeing
• Enjoy hobbies, interests and meaningful activities
• Get out and about in their local community
• Work towards their individual goals and aspirations
• Build confidence and enjoy life on their own terms

No experience, don't worry, we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team.

We'll give you full training, pay you for your training and provide a supportive team around you every step of the way. We'll also fund your SVQ (SCQF Level 6/7) qualification and your PVG and SSSC registration fees.

We provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shift patterns fall in to earlies, lates and sleepovers. Weekends, sleepovers and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Sleepover payments

Our sleepovers are separate from your contracted hours, so you’ll receive an additional payment of £107.60 for every sleepover you work - giving you the opportunity to earn extra alongside your contracted hours.

A note about the location

Berrybank is based in Maud and has limited public transport options that fit with the shift patterns for this role.

If you don't live in or around Maud and don't drive or have access to your own vehicle, please consider how you'll travel to and from your shifts before applying. You'll need to be confident that you can reliably get to work for your scheduled shifts.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
