About the Service

TouchBase Lanarkshire is a purpose-built centre in Hamilton, designed to offer diverse support services for adults with disabilities and additional needs. Our vibrant environment encourages participation in therapeutic activities, physical activities, and social interactions, all aimed at fostering personal growth, community involvement, and independence.

At Sense Scotland, we are dedicated to providing engaging and fulfilling activities that go beyond basic care. In our dynamic, fast-paced environment, you’ll support individuals in pursuing activities they love and exploring new opportunities both within TouchBase and the community. Building strong, trusting relationships is central to helping each person achieve their personal goals and potential.

Located near public transport links, TouchBase Hamilton features an arts and music space, Sensory Room, Gym Hall, Trampoline area, and a courtyard. It serves as both a support hub and a social space, with a focus on value-based communication to tailor support to each individual’s needs and interests.

Our day centre operates Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed. We offer flexible hours between 0830 hrs and 1800 hrs, with contracts ranging from 0 to 30 hours per week to suit your lifestyle.

Responsibilities of the Support Practitioner will include:

Healthcare Support: Assist with healthcare needs, including medication administration and personal care, ensuring the well-being of individuals.
Encouraging Independence: Promote independence and personal growth by following Support Plans tailored to each individual's needs and goals.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily tasks and activities, ensuring clear documentation of progress and support provided.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with colleagues, families, and individuals to deliver high-quality care and support, fostering a team-oriented approach.
