About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Practitioners to join our team in the Forest of Dean area. You will be working closely with individuals living with mental health conditions and complex or challenging behaviour, supporting them to lead fulfilling, independent lives within their community.

This is a rewarding and varied role that involves building positive relationships, promoting independence, and enabling people to achieve their personal goals. Whether it's support at home or in the community, your work will make a meaningful difference every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs and challenging behaviour.

  • Promote daily living skills including personal care, cooking, budgeting, and accessing services.

  • Support individuals to access community resources, attend appointments, and engage in social or recreational activities.

  • Work as part of a team to develop and follow support plans and risk assessments.

  • Record accurate notes and report concerns in line with safeguarding and reporting procedures.

  • Promote dignity, respect, choice, and inclusion in all aspects of care.

Requirements:
  • Experience supporting people with mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour (preferred but not essential).

  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to support.

  • Ability to work flexibly across days, evenings, and weekends as required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
