You're in luck as our amazing teams in Elgin are looking for new part-time colleagues to join them on a part-time (20, 25 or 30 hours per week), permanent basis.
Here at Cornerstone, the support that we provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals. We work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities.
You'll support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence, and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health, and wellbeing needs.
The people we support all have different hobbies and interests too, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities, and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.
Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job; there’s no better feeling than going home after every shift knowing that you’ve made a positive difference in someone’s life.
You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start your career with us. We are more interested in who you are as a person. We’ll invest in you by providing paid training, and we’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.
All we’ll need you to bring is:
We’re dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will involve early mornings, days, and evenings. Weekends, public holidays, and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
The sleep part of a sleepover shift isn’t included within your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £100.80 per sleepover worked.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today! We’re waiting to hear from you.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy.
If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain) within the last 10 years while over 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and reserve the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
