Support Officer, Campus Services (25-14)

Northern College is seeking a Campus Services Support Officer in our Campus Services division. The successful candidate will possess good communication (both verbal and written), planning, attention to detail, and organizational skills. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience in meeting multiple competing deadlines, dealing with confidentiality, using standard MS Office Suite and providing excellent customer service.

Reporting to the Campus Manager, Timmins, the successful candidate will provide administrative and confidential services to campus services departments.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate, prepare, maintain and process financial, human resources, payroll and other documentation for all student hires and staff who report to the campus manager;
  • Assist in the tracking of budget expenditures and follow up regarding outstanding purchase orders and invoices with the appropriate department;
  • Coordinate and provide logistical support to various committees, departmental meetings, conferences, and workshops;
  • Assist with administrative details of projects by collecting, compiling and researching information and data;
  • Assist in gathering data for the purpose of preparing ministry reports.


What you will need to be considered:

  • 2-year diploma in Office Administration, Business, or a related/relevant field; and
  • 3 years of similar experience, preferably in an educational or government agency setting. Experience should include meeting multiple deadlines, ensuring confidentiality, and providing exceptional client service.

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
