East Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Support Officer to join our building standards team. You will be involved in providing administrative support to the building standards function, including sending acknowledgements, managing the general building standards mailbox, issuing building warrant approvals, and completion certificate acceptances. You will assist customers in person, in writing, and on the phone with general administrative enquiries.
The role requires technical and IT skills, preferably including experience with the IDOX/UNIform case handling system. The post holder will also need good organisational skills, as the job involves carrying out various administrative tasks to support the Council's statutory building standards functions.
Depending on the needs of the service, staff in hybrid roles will typically work from home up to 40-60% of the time, where the service requirements are met.
