Support Line Worker - Bank staff

ARCH Teesside are looking for a skilled, passionate, and professional Support Line Worker to join the team as a member of Bank staff.

ARCH is working in partnership with Rape Crisis England & Wales to deliver a 24-hour Support Line for survivors of sexual violence. The service will provide high-quality, trauma-informed telephone and webchat support and signposting information to survivors of non-recent and recent sexual violence across England and Wales.

We are looking for a woman with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide non-judgemental, non-directive and empowering support to every person who connects to the Support Line. Successful candidates will have experience in providing emotional support on a helpline, a good knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impacts and a willingness to work some daytimes, evenings and weekends on an ad-hoc basis.

Please note that the training plan involves commitment to online group training on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This training will be delivered 9am-5pm throughout September, commencing 9th September, with the last day of training being 30th September. Following this, listening in and shadowing training will be delivered as part of training and sign off processes.

The post is open to female applicants only as being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010 for this role.
