The Role

As a Solutions Architect at Audley Travel, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise‑level robust, scalable solutions for our internal business and client‑facing applications. Your role will ensure that our systems are efficient, integrated, and aligned with our business objectives. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to create optimal solution designs and assess feasibility.

  • Lead design change management: conduct impact assessments for any proposed design changes during development, engage stakeholders to evaluate implications on scope, timeline, and budget, raise and manage change control items, and update architectural documentation and decision records as needed.
  • Contribute to and adopt architectural policies, patterns, and standards.
  • Maintain Architecture Building Blocks and catalogs related to applications and integrations.
  • Identify and raise appropriate risks, maintain a technical debt register, and ensure regular reviews by the Technical Design Authority (TDA).
  • Assist with technical due diligence for new technology contracts and review existing supplier offerings to align with Audley’s strategic roadmaps.
What we're looking for

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in application and solution design within Salesforce and Microsoft Azure, and experience across a range of integration domains such as CRM, travel reservations, ERP, and marketing.

  • Experience in cloud‑first application architecture and solution design, including segmentation and decoupling of cloud applications through middleware.
  • Ability to translate business requirements and processes into effective solution designs.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing across all levels, from C‑suite to operators.
  • Commercial understanding and a track record of driving business innovation through technology.
  • In‑depth knowledge of security‑by‑design principles and patterns.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of technology trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong technical problem‑solving skills.
  • Pragmatic and collaborative, able to balance strategic goals with tactical decisions when necessary.
