Support for Learning Assistant

30 hours per week, Term Time

Temporary up to 4 July 2025

£27,258 - £27,459 pro rata / £14.94 - £15.05 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Suitable candidates are sought for the above vacancy of Support for Learning Assistant to work in Firth Primary School. As a member of the school team you will be expected to work with pupils, colleagues and parents.

We require candidates to have experience in working with young people and to be committed to supporting, encouraging and including all children in achieving their potential.

You should have a good general standard education including evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
