Job description

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide ex-operator knowledge to assess and analyze system designs, diagrams, and data to ensure technical accuracy, process instruction correctness, and input for maintenance derivation outputs.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to others.
  • Understand and apply the Quality and SH&E Management System documentation.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and attend collaboration working groups supporting BAES's scope of work for maintenance design.
  • Estimate the scope of work and resources needed to support bids, proposals, and project planning activities for maintenance design.

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • Background as a submarine nuclear operator/maintainer.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems.
  • Knowledge of the complete engineering lifecycle and support activities, with experience in multiple lifecycle phases.
  • Extensive domain knowledge of ship systems and their relation to ILS and safety.

Desirables:

  • Knowledge of relevant MoD, industry, and corporate standards.
