Job description
Overview

Our Global Enterprise client are looking for Support Engineers to support with Deskside laptop handovers for judicial staff. Engineers will be responsible for completing handovers for approximately 40 judges across various UK regions.

Details

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 50 days (initially)

Pay Rate: £18.90 p/h (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)

Total Daily Earnings: £21.46 p/h (includes rolled up holiday)

IR35 Status: Inside

Location: Manchester

NOTE: Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities/Training
  • Engineering resource will be trained on the Deskside laptop handover process.
  • Resources can be trained on the end-to-end handover process over a 2/3 day period.
  • Support will be available to tech team on the scheduled deployment day for the engineer if they experience any issues within the process.
Experience
  • Resources must be experienced on Win11 and associated key office applications (e.g. Outlook, OneDrive).
  • Experience in providing desk-side IT support or similar roles, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to manage on-the-day configuration for users, following a documented set of steps as there is a level of complexity in the judicial device setup.
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with Judges.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and resolving challenges proactively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing schedules and travel requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all appointments and handovers are executed on time and to very high standards.
  • They will also need a full Toolkit and will be deploying laptops on trolleys at multiple locations around the country.
