Centacare North Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation that provides counselling, family support, mediation, family dispute resolution, disability services, education and courses, crisis housing and homelessness support, youth services, community engagement and NDIS services. Centacare services the North Queensland community from offices in Townsville, Ayr, Bowen, Mt Isa, Cloncurry, Longreach and Normanton.

The role is the first point of contact for potential program participants in Support Coordination to scope both the services required and provide a comprehensive and timely service package for individuals to consider. This role will work closely with NDIS clients to ensure they receive a timely and responsive service offering in line with their support plan. This position is a ‘risk assessed role’ and is subject to the NDIS worker ‘no card’ ‘no start’ rule.*

This position is classified as a ‘risk assessed role’ under Part 1, section 5 of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Practice Standards—Worker Screening) Rules 2018 and in accordance with Queensland legislation, an NDIS Worker Screening must be obtained prior to commencing work in the role.
