Support Coordinator Newcastle upon Tyne Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Salary of £25,838 per annum, plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan! Home, a place where you belong. We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Support Coordinator.

Our service is going to be a brand-new Home Group supported accommodation offer commissioned by Newcastle City Council and will make a massive difference to health and homelessness. Typical day as a Support Coordinator:

1. You'll support customers referred by the Housing Advice Centre as part of Newcastle City Council’s effort to assist vulnerable adults in housing crisis.
2. We provide homes across the city where customers can live independently, knowing support is available when needed.
3. You'll also help develop placements at McGowan Court, featuring 12 self-contained units.
4. As part of our skilled team, you'll offer person-centred support, helping customers manage and improve their mental health and wellbeing.
5. Our support package empowers customers with the skills and confidence to transition to independent living successfully.
6. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective services that help customers live independently.

About you:

1. You'll make a real difference in customers' lives by conducting risk assessments, setting goals, and creating personalized support plans with regular reviews.
2. You'll be able to coordinate support workers, apprentices, and volunteers while working with external agencies to provide the best support for our customers.

6. You’ll travel to meet customers—whether by public transport or your own vehicle (we’ll cover your expenses!).

Our team:

Our fabulous team are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us we’re not just a team - we’re a ‘work family’! There will eventually be 9 in the team, and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! You’ll be supported all the way by Fintan our Senior Client Services Manager, and Sonia and Tracy, our Client Services Managers. They'll be able to offer help all the way! There's plenty experience for you to rely on!

Job details:

1. Initially you’ll be based at Cedar House in Byker, supporting our customers in community properties.
2. You’ll eventually be required to work on a rota basis between the hours of 7am - 8.30pm. However, this role will initially be Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
3. We appreciate your flexibility in meeting customer needs, and while occasional work outside regular hours may be required, we’ll always strive to give you time for what matters most to you!
4. It’s important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) You’ll be given the latest IT kit supported by our new online integrated IT system.
5. You’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
