Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.

Support Coordinator

About the role

As a Support Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in helping individuals rebuild their lives in a supported accommodation setting. You’ll provide recovery-focused support, advice, and guidance to people on their journey to stability and independence. No two days are the same — from leading 1:1 sessions and group work to coordinating clinical appointments and collaborating with volunteers, your work will be hands-on, rewarding, and transformative.

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing a caseload of service users, delivering psychosocial interventions.
2. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team for assessments, risk assessments, and referrals.
3. Facilitating group sessions with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
4. Working with partner agencies to ensure continuity of care and support.

Please note you will be required to provide on-call cover 1 in 8 weeks.

About you

To succeed as a Support Coordinator, you should be empathetic, motivated, and committed to making a difference. Experience in support work or a related field is preferred but not essential; a compassionate drive to support recovery is key.
