Overview

Region: London. Salary circa £19,596 per annum (inner London weighting £2,821 per annum or outer London weighting £1,625 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live). Closing date: Wednesday 10 September 2025. Interview date: Wednesday 17 September 2025. Job type: Part time. Ref S11312 | Stroke Association Support Coordinator | Home-based, Croydon. Regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings). Salary circa £19,596 per annum (inner London weighting £2,821 per annum or outer London weighting £1,625 per annum may be applied in accordance with where you live). 25 hours per week. Our services are contracted and funding for this contract is in place until 31 March 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.
  • Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on our CRM database and that all data is in line with our retention policy and GDPR compliant.
  • Develop and manage service volunteers to support service delivery for stroke survivors and carers as required.
You will have experience in
  • Experience of providing person-centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers.
  • Ability to nurture emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home.
  • Experience in facilitating face-to-face group work with vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition.
  • Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face-to-face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls).

This role requires regular travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.
