We are looking for an experienced, caring, and motivated individual to lead a supported living service providing support for 7 tenants with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs living in their own homes. The supported living service offers 24-hour support and is located in one of Carlisle's most desirable areas, convenient for Stanwix, parkland, and the city centre.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with individuals experiencing mental health problems and learning disabilities, either in a community or supported living setting. Skills in positive engagement, knowledge of positive behavioral support, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should understand the principles of the recovery model, have a good working knowledge of mental health diagnosis and legislation, and be confident in support planning with multidisciplinary teams. Leadership, planning, and coordination skills are crucial, as the role involves direct support, staff deployment, supervision, and collaboration with families and other agencies. You will coordinate our staff team to ensure service users enjoy a high quality of life and promote independence. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Applications from those with a relevant social care degree or qualified social worker status are also welcomed.
