Job description

This vacancy is for a one-year fixed-term contract based at the Manor Hospital Walsall.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Undertake designated procurement activities, including investigative projects and the conduct of competitive quotation and tender exercises.
2. Liaise with Senior Trust Officers, Procurement and Supply Chain Staff, Trust requesters, Clinicians, budget holders, Suppliers, Collaborative Procurement Hub, NHS Supply Chain (NHSSC), Department of Health, Internal and External Audit.
3. Lead and support procurement of several commodities within the Non-Medical Procurement team based at Walsall.
4. Report to the Senior Strategic Procurement Manager – Non-Medical within the North Midland and Black Country Procurement Department.
5. Manage specific categories within the Procurement portfolio to meet the Trust's strategic and operational needs, maximize value for money, and ensure compliance with EU Procurement Legislation, UK Law, and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions.

Please note: This role is based at The Manor Hospital NHS Trust, with a requirement to travel between sites in Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, and Wolverhampton.
