The role of Support Assistant will include:
  1. Providing a high quality, hands-on support service
  2. Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
  3. Encouraging customers to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and being part of their community
  4. Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers
  5. Maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures, and practices
Skills and experiences:
  1. Ideally you will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, however candidates with a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
  2. Experience working as part of a team is essential
  3. You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
  4. A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  5. Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening, and time management skills
  6. Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics, is essential
  7. NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is desirable
