Job description

Stevens is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our Clinical Department as a Support & Stabilization Case Manager. This position is vital in promoting family stability and permanency by actively engaging individuals and families, providing education, guidance, and support. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in home and community-based settings.

The Support & Stabilization Case Manager will be cross-trained to facilitate multiple Support & Stabilization (S&S) contracts, including Safe & Stable Families, Preparation Support for Child Welfare (PREP), and Youth Support – Transition-Aged Youth (YS-TAY). Services are provided with a person-centered, culturally responsive approach, including co-facilitating psychoeducational groups for caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field; OR a minimum of five (5) years of direct experience in child welfare, family support, or case management.
  • Prior experience in case management, preferably working with families involved in child welfare systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging and building rapport with diverse families and individuals.
  • Knowledge of community-based resources, crisis intervention, and home-based services.
  • Experience facilitating support or psychoeducational groups (preferred but not required).
  • Lived experience relevant to the role is strongly valued and encouraged.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of the Five Protective Factors framework and its application in family support.
  • Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Cape Verdean Creole preferred.
  • Ability to use virtual platforms for hybrid service delivery.
  • Ability to document and track case progress using technology-based systems.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling to meet the unique needs of families.

Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, 2 set days per week until 7:00 pm or later. Flexibility required for early mornings. Weekend availability a plus. Local travel is required.

Payrate: $23.50 base pay; $25.00 with a Bachelor’s degree; Pay differential offered for language capacity in Spanish, Portuguese, or Cape Verdean Creole.
