Job summary

Evergreen School in the West Midlands area is seeking Teaching Assistants for casual, ad hoc work with flexible hours. The role pays £13.70–£13.92 per hour and closes for applications at 9:00am on Friday 13 November 2026. The post is ASAP and requires enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks.

As a Teaching Assistant L1, you will support pupils to reach their full potential and work with a team to provide inclusive support across therapies and lunchtime activities.

Qualifications

• SEN experience or mainstream setting experience welcomed.
• Available to work on a casual, ad hoc basis.
• Teaching Assistant L1 designation.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be offered work when this is available (to cover vacancies or absences, for example).This will be on a casual, ad hoc basis.

As a Teaching Assistant L1, some of your responsibilities will be to:

1. Support pupils to reach their full potential
2. Work as part of a team with other professionals
3. Support pupils in accessing a range of provision such as Rebound therapy and hydrotherapy
4. Support pupils during lunchtime
5. Support and direct activities with individuals or groups to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and cognitive development
