Supply Teaching Assistant

Position: Supply Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
Randstad Education is looking for adaptable and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support various schools across Lewes. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the flexibility to work on short or long-term bookings, assisting in classrooms, working with small groups, or providing 1:1 support to pupils as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
2. Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning and understanding.
3. Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs, including SEN.
4. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
5. Adapt quickly to different school environments and work effectively with various teams.
6. Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.

Requirements:

1. Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
2. A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different schools and with varying age groups.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
5. A patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children.
6. Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
