GSL Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistant (TA) to work across various mainstream primary schools in Dorset. This exciting opportunity is available for an immediate start and offers both 1:1 support and general classroom assistance roles.

Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable experience or an experienced educator seeking flexible work, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities of a Supply Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, helping them access the curriculum and reach their potential.
  • Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Support students with varying needs, including those with SEND.
  • Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
  • Participate in school activities, training sessions, and meetings when required.

Requirements for Supply Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and patient approach to supporting students.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children thrive.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Flexible working: choose the days that suit your schedule, with up to 5 days per week available.
  • Opportunities for longer-term placements and potential permanent roles.
  • Work in a variety of welcoming and inclusive school environments.
  • Ideal for ECTs, experienced TAs, or individuals with a background in childcare or youth work.
