Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant to support children and young people across Dunstable and surrounding areas. The role offers £95-£105 per day, with daily supply and longer-term opportunities.

Work is Monday to Friday, during term time, with a chance to support pupils on 1:1 or in small groups across mainstream and specialist SEN settings. DBS enhanced or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children or young people is desirable.
• Care, childcare, support work or youth work experience welcomed.
• A positive, reliable and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

The Role

Position: Supply Teaching Assistant

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, working with small groups or providing general classroom support. You may work with children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
