We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Daily Cover Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, providing essential support for daily and weekly sickness cover across our network of schools. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a flexible work pattern that offers a true work-life balance. Pay for this role is per hour between 13.86- 15 per hour , dependant on the absence you are covering. All work is term time only.
The Role:
As a Daily Cover Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning and support for pupils in the absence of their regular Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing general classroom support to teachers and pupils across different year groups. You may also be asked to provide one-to-one support for individual children, with the specific class and support required on the day being determined by the nature of the absence.
Assisting with the implementation of lesson plans and activities.
Supporting individual pupils or small groups with their learning.
Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Adapting quickly to new classroom dynamics and school routines.
Assisting with administrative tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 3 Early Years Assistant, Nursery Staff qualification, or Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development.
