About the Role

Connex Education works with primary schools across Burton. We are seeking primary teachers to work part-time or full-time in September.

This role involves covering long-term or short-term placements.

As a supply teacher, your role is to step in for regular teachers when they are absent due to illness, professional development, or other reasons.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth continuation of the educational process in the absence of the regular teacher, which includes:

  • Delivering lessons based on lesson plans provided or creating your own if necessary.
  • Maintaining classroom management and discipline.
  • Assessing student progress through grading and feedback.
  • Providing additional support and guidance to students.
  • Ensuring student safety and following emergency procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with school staff and administration.
