About the Role

Connex Education works with Primary schools across Burton. We are seeking Primary Teachers to work part-time or full-time in September.

This role involves covering long-term or short-term placements.

As a supply teacher, your role is to step in for regular teachers when they are absent due to illness, professional development, or other reasons.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth continuation of the educational process in the absence of the regular teacher.

This includes:

  • Delivering lessons based on the provided lesson plans or creating your own if none are available.
  • Maintaining classroom management and discipline.
  • Assessing student progress through grading assignments, tests, or homework.
  • Providing additional support to students as needed.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of students, including following emergency procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with school staff and administrators.

Supply teachers are crucial for maintaining continuity in education, requiring adaptability, flexibility, and quick integration into new environments.
