Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for Supply Teachers to cover Primary schools across Sutton, South London. You will deliver engaging lessons, supervise pupils and maintain high standards of behaviour throughout the day.

Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs, roles offer flexible days, predictable pay, and the chance to work in a variety of welcoming schools. Travel within the borough is required and starts can be from September 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS (ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply).
• Flexible, adaptable and dependable.
• Friendly, approachable and punctual.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passionate about making a positive impact across a range of school settings.
• Happy to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Able to travel to mainstream Primary Schools across Sutton for an 8:15am-8:30am (latest) start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using the absent teacher's planning.
• Supervise and support pupils throughout the school day, including lessons, break times and lunchtime where required.
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Complete day-to-day teaching responsibilities, including registers, assemblies and other routine duties.
• Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment whilst following all safeguarding and health & safety procedures.

What to expect as a Supply Teacher

Pay

• 155 per day minimum for Early Career Teachers.
• 160- 165 per day for Fully Qualified Teachers.

The top end of the pay scale is generally offered to teachers willing to travel beyond their preferred distance discussed during registration.
