Job summary

Cover People are seeking qualified Secondary Supply Teachers for flexible ongoing placements across Trafford. Roles range from individual days to short-term positions, with opportunities to teach across KS3–KS4 and some KS5 where appropriate.

Ideal candidates hold QTS and bring recent UK secondary teaching experience, strong subject knowledge, and excellent classroom management. You’ll work across multiple schools with a dedicated consultant, enjoying variety and safeguarding support.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent recognised qualification in the UK.
• Recent experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge across relevant KS topics.
• Proven classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and dependable approach to assignment availability.
• Effective communication with pupils, schools and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where appropriate.
• Deliver lessons and follow school-provided plans.
• Maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school expectations.
