Job summary

Aspire People in North London is seeking a Qualified Supply Teacher (Secondary) to join our network for flexible, day-to-day teaching across several schools. Deliver engaging lessons, manage behaviour, and ensure continuity of learning when the regular teacher is absent.

QTS or equivalent and DBS are required, with opportunities across Camden and North London. We offer a competitive daily rate of £170 and a supportive consultant team to help place you in suitable schools.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK schools, preferably North London/Camden.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability to different school settings.
• DBS check completed or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
• Maintain high behaviour standards and a positive learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans or plan content as required.
• Mark and assess work where applicable and provide feedback.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.

Qualified Supply Teacher - Secondary

About the Role:

Aspire People are seeking a passionate and reliable Qualified Supply Teacher to join our network of educational professionals in North London. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers (NQTs) to gain flexible and rewarding teaching experience in a variety of Secondary Schools.

As a supply teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and maintain the continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
• Adapting quickly to different classroom environments and school policies.
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
• Following lesson plans provided or planning appropriate content if required.
• Marking and assessing work in line with school policies (where applicable).
• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in UK schools, preferably in the Camden and North London area.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different school settings.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to teaching.
• Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
