Job description

EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Supply Teachers needed across Thanet

You will be working with Hays Education, one of the largest recruitment agencies within primary schools in Thanet and surrounding areas such as Margate, Broadstairs, and Ramsgate. We are currently recruiting Supply Teachers who can teach from Reception through to KS2 or specific year groups, on a day-to-day basis as well as for long-term roles.

Long-term roles may include cover for sickness, PPA time, course cover, management release, paternity or maternity leave, and interventions. These roles may or may not require planning; if planning is needed, you will be paid to scale. As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, following lesson plans, marking work, and providing feedback. You will also observe behaviour, enforce the school's behavioural policy, and report any safeguarding concerns to the on-duty DSL.

You may support different schools on an ad hoc basis or work at the same school long-term, full-time or part-time. Supply work offers flexibility to accommodate your other commitments.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Good knowledge of the primary school National Curriculum across various year groups.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and methods confidently.
  • Recent teaching experience within the last 5 years and hold a QTS, PGCE, or ECT qualification.
