Here at Long-Term Teachers we work with a number of Primary Schools in the Weston-Super-Mare and North Somerset area who have been super busy with the lead up to the summer holidays, needing supply and long-term cover.

We are looking for Qualified Teachers, experienced Cover Teachers or HLTAs who are looking to build confidence and experience throughout schools in the area, working as a Supply Teacher on short and long term cover.

You will have the opportunity to step into various classroom settings depending on your preferences; EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 and deliver engaging lessons. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Careers Teacher, we have great opportunities for you.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs. Working for Long-Term Teachers will enable you to work on a full-time or part-time basis to suit your commitments. Your role and responsibilities as a cover teacher will also include:

• Effectively delivery pre-planned lessons set by the absent teacher to students
• Managing the behaviour of pupils inside and outside the classroom
• Assessing children’s development and understanding.
• Adapting any work set to ensure each child accesses the learning.
• Work closely with the class TA to support SEND children.

• Hold great curriculum knowledge throughout Primary Age Groups.
• High expectations for the children and their outcomes.
• Keen to follow behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• Clearly communicate with members of staff throughout the school day.
