Day-to-Day Supply Teachers for Special Educational Needs (SEND) & Mainstream Primary Schools

We're looking for passionate and adaptable supply teachers to join our team, working with Mainstream Primary & special educational needs (SEN) schools across Liverpool and Knowsley. We offer flexible, day-to-day opportunities for both part-time and full-time roles, giving you the chance to gain valuable experience and make a real impact on students' lives.

The Teaching Role

As a supply teacher, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality, engaging lessons to students with a range of special educational needs, which may include learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Your main duties will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a supportive atmosphere.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff.
  • Maintaining clear and concise records of student progress and behaviour.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, resilient, and resourceful individual with a genuine passion for working with young people with additional needs. To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting, particularly with students with SEN.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to be flexible and think on your feet.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check, or be willing to apply for one.
