As a supply teacher, you will work through Hays Education, which provides a variety of local supply secondary teacher jobs in Manchester & surrounding areas. The roles range from general cover and teaching your specialist subject to flexible days per week.

Your new role

As a supply teacher, you will work with various secondary schools across Greater Manchester, focusing on locations most accessible from your residence. These roles require previous secondary school experience and comfort working in new classrooms regularly. Positions can be short-term (day-to-day) or long-term (more than 4 weeks), with the latter often offering higher pay.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have strong behaviour management skills, the ability to follow and deliver classroom activities, and a solid knowledge of the school curriculum. Punctuality and a friendly attitude are essential as you adapt to different settings.
