Job Role: Supply Teacher
Location: Newham & Tower Hamlets
Salary: GBP140 - GBP160 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Day to Day Contract

Responsibilities of a Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 (sometimes KS5 depending on the subject)
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Follow school policies and procedures
  • Mark work and provide feedback where required
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments
  • Build strong relationships with staff and students

Requirements to be a Supply Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
