About the role

Supply Teacher – Derby

Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming Primary Schools in the Derby area, who are recruiting for EYFS, KS1, and KS2 Teachers to work on a day-to-day supply basis. This role will involve taking on full classroom responsibilities during cover days, including lesson delivery, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils’ progress. No lesson planning will be required.

Schools across the Derby area are known for their supportive staff teams and inclusive learning environments. They are looking for dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teachers who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff while delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Assignment Details

These roles are for 3-5 days a week, starting in September, and will run for the duration of the autumn term.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience of working with children aged 3–11 in a UK primary school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and phonics schemes such as Read, Write Inc or Letters and Sounds
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new one
