Job summary

Choice Teachers is recruiting Supply Teachers to work in secondary schools around Bury. Roles are available as soon as possible with day-to-day supply and longer placements through the school year.

The role suits qualified teachers seeking flexibility, ECTs building experience, or retired teachers returning to the classroom. Strong classroom management and adaptability across different schools are valued.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS/PGCE preferred for teaching placements.
• Honours degree with classroom experience also suitable for lesson-cover roles.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply is required.

Supply Teachers - Secondary Schools in Bury

Choice Teachers is a well-established education recruitment agency that has supported schools across the North West for more than 20 years. We are recruiting Supply Teachers to work in secondary schools across Bury and the surrounding area.

Roles are available as soon as possible, with day-to-day supply and longer-term placements throughout the school year. Supply work could suit qualified teachers seeking flexibility, ECTs building experience, or retired teachers who would like to return to the classroom.

We also welcome applications from graduates with relevant classroom experience who are interested in covering lessons. The suitability of each placement will depend on the school's requirements.

What you'll do

• Deliver or supervise lessons during teacher absences.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Adapt to different schools, classes and subject areas.
• Help pupils stay engaged and make progress.

What you'll need

• QTS, QTLS or a PGCE is preferred for teaching placements.
• Alternatively, a good honours degree and relevant classroom experience for suitable lesson-cover opportunities.
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• The right to work in the UK and professional references covering the last two years.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to travel to schools in the Bury area.
