Secondary Supply Teacher - Birmingham
Location: Schools across Birmingham
Pay: M1 - UPS3 (paid to scale via PAYE - no umbrella deductions)
Contract: Full-time, term-time only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner for the right candidate)
Opportunity for permanent placement

Long Term Futures is working with a network of supportive and forward-thinking schools across the city to appoint adaptable and dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers for the upcoming academic year.

This is an ideal role for teachers who enjoy working across a range of subjects and key stages, or those looking to gain experience before committing to a permanent position.

The Role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners

  • Maintain continuity of learning in the absence of the usual class teacher

  • Liaise with school staff to ensure pupil progress is supported and recorded

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  • Experience in a secondary school setting, including mainstream or SEN environments

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Ability to teach across multiple subjects and year groups

  • Flexible, reliable, and confident in delivering engaging lessons
