Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking passionate SEN Teaching Assistants for supply work across various specialist SEN schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for those who have experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and desire the flexibility of supply work. Join us to make a significant impact while working around your own schedule.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to children and young people with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and SLD.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement individual support plans.
  • Maintain a calm, patient, and adaptable approach to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Participate actively in classroom activities and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education.
Desirable (but not essential) qualifications/training:
  • Team Teach or other de-escalation training.
  • Experience in moving and handling.
  • Personal care experience.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or SEND-related qualifications.
