As part of the general Supply Teaching Pool, you will provide high-quality learning and teaching where cover is required within Stirling Council Schools and Educational Establishments.
You will be responsible for teaching assigned classes, including preparation and assessment of children's work. You will also assist in developing the school curriculum, including assessments and preparing pupils for examinations where appropriate. Additionally, you will participate in activities related to school planning, raising attainment, monitoring and tracking pupil progress, and conducting individual reviews when necessary. Providing advice and guidance to pupils on educational issues, working in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals, is also part of your role. You will contribute to maintaining good order and supporting the wider needs of the school.
Successful candidates are expected to undertake essential training for the position. You should have a relevant teaching qualification and GTC registration. Excellent interpersonal skills, sound classroom practice, and good knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and National Qualifications are required, where appropriate.
All teachers, except probationers, registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and appointed to posts in Stirling Council establishments, will be placed on point 1 of the Main Grade Salary Scale or a higher point as determined by the relevant agreement and SNCT 35. Probationers are placed on Point 0 of the Main Grade Salary Scale until they achieve full GTC(S) registration.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
