A local government authority in Linlithgow seeks a Supply Receptionist to provide front-facing services at visitor centres. The Country Parks provide visitors with enjoyable countryside experiences. Supply receptionist posts are required to assist in covering receptionist shifts at Almondell & Calderwood and Beecraigs Country Park Visitor Centres. The posts involve providing a front-facing reception service, facility bookings, record keeping, sales, information provision, and secretarial support to Parks & Woodland staff.
Candidates must have proven reliability and experience in a front-facing role, cash handling, good computer literacy skills, and confidence in delivering excellent customer service. Good written and oral communication skills, the ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner, and good time management are essential.
Supply receptionists are required to complete agreed corporate and in-house training before accepting individual shifts at either Visitor Centre. Candidates must be available to cover the shifts listed below as needed, Monday to Sunday throughout the year.

Summer: 09:00 – 19:10
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 09:00 – 19:10 with two 20-minute breaks
Wednesday: 09:00 – 14:05 or 14:05 – 19:10, with no break (or a full day with two 20-minute breaks)
Late Summer: 09:00 – 17:00
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 09:00 – 17:00 with a 30-minute break
Wednesday: 09:00 – 13:00 or 13:00 – 17:00, with no break
Winter: 10:00 – 16:00 daily with a 30-minute break
Summer: 09:00 – 17:00 daily with a 30-minute break
