We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 4–11 in local primary schools across Gillingham. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist with both whole-class activities and targeted support, including 1:1 and small group sessions.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential through tailored support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to teaching staff to aid in lesson planning and student development.
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and approachable attitude with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a genuine passion for working with children.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (ages 4–11), ideally within a school or childcare setting.
  • A confident, caring, and patient nature, with the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to provide references covering the last 24 months.
  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through us).
