Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Supply Planning and Inventory is responsible for supporting the Supply Planning and Inventory Manager in optimising supply chain and inventory management processes for De Beers London's fine and high jewellery collections. This role leads the MRP analysis and is responsible for monitoring and revising supply plans to incorporate latest demand, MDS and cogs information. Leads launch planning and tracking for novelties. The key deliverables include productivity and inventory KPIs ultimately driving sales and reinforcing De Beers London's position as a leader in the luxury jewellery market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily supply planning and inventory operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Help oversee the management and optimisation of inventory levels to minimise excess and obsolete inventory while mitigating out-of-stocks.
  • Manages the MRP analysis and monthly Supply Plans revisions incorporating updated demand, MDS and COGs information.
  • Inventory plans (Material) maintenance and analysis (weekly).
  • Monitor OTB at model level.
  • Inventory monthly KPIs monitoring (Model).
  • Productivity KPIs (Model).
  • Monthly Supply/Inventory plans (Model) and KPIs revisions for IBP process.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Support the management of yearly supply plans for all jewellery replenishment and new launches.
  • Assist in planning and booking production capacity for fine jewellery and diamonds to meet demand forecasts and ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee order placement, including components, and ensure timely delivery of new product launches.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist in leading and managing the supply planning and inventory team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of supply chain and inventory initiatives.
  • Take accountability for delivering results that contribute to the success of the business.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of supply chain and inventory initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement.

Who You Are

  • Proven track record in supporting supply chain and inventory strategies. Experience in supply chain management, and inventory management preferably in luxury retail.
  • Strong understanding of luxury retail dynamics, market trends and customer behaviour.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and accountable mindset. High attention to detail and commercial acumen.
  • Data-driven to inform decisions and strategies, ensuring clarity and precision in your approach.
