We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Planner to join Booker Retail Partners for 6 months to cover a secondment role in the Grocery Team at our Hemel Hempstead Office. Joining the wider product supply team, you will take responsibility for achieving and maximising Company product availability targets through careful planning and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

To apply for this role you should be able to commit to working 38 hours a week Monday to Friday.

You will be required to work in the office at least 2 days a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Optimise service levels to customers within the business unit and supply chain.
  • Manage a portfolio of Suppliers and Product Categories.
  • Achieve stockholding and wastage budgets, taking appropriate actions without impacting supply.
  • Review stock shortages daily and contact suppliers.
  • Communicate key issues to stakeholders and support resolution.
  • Forecast, track promotions, and allocate products.
  • Support seasonal events and activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align trading activities with supply chain goals.
  • Develop relationships with Suppliers and Logistics providers to ensure optimal inbound supply levels.
Requirements:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills at all levels.

Strong organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills.

Customer service orientation, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Proactive, independent, and problem-solving mindset.

Previous procurement or supply chain experience preferred, with knowledge of supply chain systems and sales forecasting advantageous, but full training provided.

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade C or above.

Desirable: Supply chain professional qualification or degree.
